Senior Citizens Association has just completed 3 years in May 2015, under the able leadership of Mr. Bernard Fernandes as it’s founder President.

The membership grew steadily during the last 3 years and today stands more than 135.

Fr. Baptist Monteiro is our spiritual guide. A new committee has been formed recently with Mr Alex D’Mello as it’s President.

“Our mission is to enroll all the senior members of the Parish and keep them mentally & physically active as far as possible. We intent to convert the negative energy into positive and productive whenever we come across.”

There is a core group, which meets regularly and decides the activities to be undertaken during the next month. All the seniors also meet on the last Sunday of every month usually after the evening mass and have a fun filled evening.  We encourage Singing, Story telling, Sharing Jokes, Impromptu Discussions.

Sharing on current issues affecting the life of citizens in general is the main activity of this get together. Birthdays are celebrated, snacks/tea is always served. Feast of St. Joaquim & Anne are celebrated with fellowship dinner.

The group conducts picnic, visit to Mount Mary during the feast, conducting “Pilgrims Way of the Cross” by visiting atleast 4-5 churches in the Deanery during the year. Seniors also participate in satyagrahas, whenever any call is given.
