Parish Notices for 04th Feb 2018

Tomorrow/Today our parish celebrates the Feast of our patron St. John Bosco. The Feast Mass will be celebrated at 9.30 a.m. with Bishop Percival Fernandez as the main celebrant. Please note there will be no 10.30 a.m. and no 5.30 p.m. Masses. In the evening, our parish will have the Bosco Nite celebrations starting at 5:30 p.m. on the grounds.


Those who have registered their names for the Nasik pilgrimage on Saturday, 10th February please note that you have to be present at the basket ball court at 5.30 a.m. sharp.


Next Sunday, 11th February is Bible Sunday and World Day of the Sick. We will have the anointing of the sick at the 5. 30 p.m Mass. The Mass will also be for the 10th and the 12th students to pray for their exams. Parents are requested to please accompany their children to pray with them. We will have a second collection for the Holy Childhood Association.


Our parish is celebrating World Marriage Day on Sunday, 11th February at the 10.30 a.m. Mass which will include the exchange of marriage vows. All married couples are invited to attend this celebration. The Mass will be followed by a get-together. Please register @ Rs. 25/- per head at the parish office.


The Cancer Patients Aid Association will have a collection on the occasion of Rose Day on Saturday, 10th February and Sunday, 11th February. They will be standing near the church office after all the Masses.


The SCC Cluster Group presents the Movie of the Month based on the true life-story of Graham Staines titled ‘Warpath’ screening on Sunday, 18th February at 6.30 p.m. in the A.V. Hall. The Director of this movie will be personally coming to present this movie. All are welcome.


Pre-Baptism Course will be held in February on 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th February. Couples are required to participate in this course before the birth of their child.


For the upcoming summer holidays, there are Don Bosco Camps which children can attend. There are 5 camps which cater to different groups and different needs of youngsters. The goal is to help youngsters discover their potential and be the best they are meant to be. Please check the notice board for further details.


Make sure you have your copy of BOSCO BEAMS, the parish Bulletin that is just out. The next issue will be at Easter with the theme: EASTER – RISING WITH CHRIST TO A NEW LIFE. We invite parishioners to contribute articles.

Vazira Zone – Monday, 5th February at the residence of Sylvia Kelly.

Gorai 2 – Thursday, 8th February at the residence of Nancy Crasta.

The Second Banns of Mr. Gerald Saldanha, bachelor son of Mr. Valerian Saldanha and Mrs. Helen Saldanha from Yogi Nagar currently residing in Dubai and Miss Priyanka Vegnesa, spinster daughter of Mr. Steven Vegnesa and Mrs. Leena Vegnesa residing in Old MHB Colony, Borivali (West).

If any one finds any impediments as to why the couples mentioned above, should not be married, you are bound to inform the Parish Priest as soon as possible.
