Tomorrow/Today is Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord. At 8 a.m., we will have the blessing of palms at the basketball court followed by a procession to the church and Holy Eucharist. In the evening there will be the Way of the Cross conducted by the Legion of Mary followed by singing of Veronica’s song and culminating with the Holy Eucharist. After Mass as Lenten Cantata will be conducted by the Da Capo Choir who have come from Andheri (East).

 

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday i.e. 25th, 26th & 27th March we will have Confessions from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

 

29th March is Maundy Thursday. At 7.30 p.m. we will have the Celebration of the Lord’s Supper on the school grounds, entrance is from Gate no. 4. Parking of vehicles from Gate no. 3 will close 15 minutes before the start of the Mass. The Holy Eucharist will be followed by Adoration at the Altar of Repose. You are welcome to join your respective zones for Adoration in our school Hall. Please check the handbills for timings of your respective zones.

 

The entire Holy Week schedule is available at the religious book stall or the reception. This includes the schedule for the blessing of your homes after Easter Sunday. The Schedule is also available on the church website www.johnboscochurch.org. Please note that the Easter Vigil service on 31st March commences at 8.30 p.m. on the grounds.

 

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy would be recited on Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Church. Thereafter it would be recited after the evening Mass till Saturday. On Divine Mercy Sunday there would be a prayer service from 2.30 p.m. till 3.30 p.m. in the Church followed by fellowship in the multi-purpose hall.

 

Our parish Summer Club commences form 16th April from 3.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Children can pick up a registration from the parish office. Parents are requested to encourage their children to attend the summer club

 

Those who have just appeared for their 10th Std. Exams are required to collect their Confirmation registration forms on Good Friday at 8.30 a.m. in the school Hall from Catechist Mrs. Virginia Rebello.

  • The Salesian Co-operators of our parish are introducing a training course on basic electrical functions for your home from 15th April to 15th May. Parishioners of any age can register at the parish office.
  • For the upcoming summer holidays, there are Don Bosco Camps which children can attend. There are 5 camps which cater to different groups and different needs of youngsters including those who have just finished their SSC/HSC exams. The goal is to help youngsters discover their potential and be the best they are meant to be. Please check the notice board for further details.
  • On the occasion of World Meeting of Families, the Archdiocesan Family Commission is conducting a tour from Mumbai to Dublin, Ireland in August.
